2. Stop 5 anti-abortion bills from advancing to a vote by the full House

Stop HB 35, HB 434, HB 200, HB 1936, and HB 2962 and stop these attacks on Texans’ reproductive rights today. These five anti-abortion bills do not represent my values. These bills would shame Texas women, stigmatize and push abortion out of reach, and stand in the way of Texans and the health care they need. I urge you to trust women to make their own reproductive health care decisions.

3. Stop Congress from Uninsuring Millions of People

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP]. I’m calling to oppose HR 1628, the American Health Care Act. The latest amendment to the bill strips away essential protections for people with preexisting conditions while doing nothing to fix the AHCA’s original problems. Thank you for your hard work answering the phones.

4. Protect Overtime and the 40-hour Work Week – Floor Vote Tues 5/2

Hello, my name is [NAME] and I’m calling from [CITY, ZIP]. I’m calling to strongly oppose [House: HR 1180; Senate: S 801], the Working Families Flexibility Act. We don’t need to make it easier for employers to create unpredictable work schedules or ask us to work more than 40 hours a week without extra pay; we need real supports like paid family leave, guaranteed sick days and fair schedules. [IF COMMITTEE, ADD: Please pass my message along to the Chairman and other members of the committee.] Thank you so much for your hard work answering the phones.

5. Preserve the BLM Methane Waste Prevention Rule – Final Vote this Week

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP]. I’m calling in opposition to HJ Res 36 and in support of retaining the BLM methane waste prevention rule. It is a necessary protection for both taxpayer revenue and the cleanliness of our air. Thank you for your hard work answering the phones.
